A large-scale forum “Fundraising from Start to Finish” was held in Kyiv. It was attended by representatives of the SumDU student government.

SumDU students, members of the creative teams of the Cultural and Artistic Center, adequately represented our university at the all-Ukrainian literary and musical festival in honor of Ukrainian soldiers “Executed Youth”. It was dedicated to the Day of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.

On 24 February 2025, the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion into Ukraine, Kyiv hosted the Support Ukraine Summit, which was attended by leaders of partner countries, diplomats, and representatives of international organizations.

On 21 February 2025, when the International Mother Language Day took place, SumDU hosted an interactive quiz “Lingual SumDU”. It was attended by pupils from Sumy secondary schools (No. 1, 2, 7, 15, 21) and lyceum (No. 33).

On 20 February 2025, the community of SumDU, together with the whole Ukraine, paid tribute to the Heavenly Hundred (the heroes who died in February 2014 during shootings on Independence Square in Kyiv). They became a symbol of struggle of the Ukrainian people for European future and democratic values.

Andrii LOBODA (head of the SumDU Medical Institute), has become a member of the ERDERA Multistakeholder Supervisory Board of the European Alliance to research rare diseases.

An important event took place on 18 February 2025 at SumDU. It brought together representatives of the government, international partners and local NGOs. Also, the veteran community joined.
