On 2 March 2025, four teams from Sumy played for the SumDU Rector’s Volleyball Cup. The following teams took part in the competition: SumDU, VC “Avanhard”, CYSS “Avanhard” and CYSS 2.
On 1 March 2025, SumDU held the Open Doors Day. The event took place online, which allowed applicants from different parts of the region and the country to join it and learn more about study opportunities at Sumy State University.
A large-scale forum “Fundraising from Start to Finish” was held in Kyiv. It was attended by representatives of the SumDU student government.
SumDU students, members of the creative teams of the Cultural and Artistic Center, adequately represented our university at the all-Ukrainian literary and musical festival in honor of Ukrainian soldiers “Executed Youth”. It was dedicated to the Day of Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
On 24 February 2025, the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion into Ukraine, Kyiv hosted the Support Ukraine Summit, which was attended by leaders of partner countries, diplomats, and representatives of international organizations.

On 21 February 2025, when the International Mother Language Day took place, SumDU hosted an interactive quiz “Lingual SumDU”. It was attended by pupils from Sumy secondary schools (No. 1, 2, 7, 15, 21) and lyceum (No. 33).
On 21 February 2025, SumDU rector Vasyl KARPUSHA and vice-rector for research Anatolii CHORNOUS met with Vasyl KREMEN. The latter is president of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, chairman of the SumDU Supervisory Board.
On 20 February 2025, the community of SumDU, together with the whole Ukraine, paid tribute to the Heavenly Hundred (the heroes who died in February 2014 during shootings on Independence Square in Kyiv). They became a symbol of struggle of the Ukrainian people for European future and democratic values.
