Sumy State University has launched two new joint projects with the Czech Republic aimed at strengthening the capacity and cooperation of young teachers, researchers, masters, and doctoral students in selected Ukrainian universities, as well as international credit mobility.
On September 7th, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Ukraine Anka Feldhuzen visited Sumy State University.
On September 2nd, the official results of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings were presented. Sumy State University significantly improved its position and entered the 501-600 world universities ranking group. SumDU takes the leading 1-2 position among Ukrainian universities.

According to the Order of the President of Ukraine, on the occasion of the Independence Day of Ukraine, Rector of Sumy State University is awarded an “Order of Merit” of the III degree.
The European Commission has announced the results of the Call 2020 of the projects in such key actions: “Capacity Building in the Field of Higher Education”, “Jean Monnet” and “Strategic Partnerships” of the EU ERASMUS+ Programme. According to the results of the Call, Sumy State University is one of the leaders in Ukraine by a number of supported projects that confirms the University’s active integration into the international educational space.
On August 13th, the admission of documents required to obtain a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree of the medical direction) has started based on a complete general education and a junior specialist diploma.
The European Commission announced the results of the 2020 competition of the direction “Capacity building of higher education” of the EU Erasmus+ programme. Overall, there were 10 projects selected with Ukrainian representatives, and one of them is the project with the participation of Sumy State University.
According to the results of the competitive selection, the SumDU project "GAMEON - The Introduction Journey to the Game Development for NEETs" took first place among 93 submitted project applications.
On July 29th-30th, Sumy State University hosted classes of the international school-training "Public Advocacy" within the project "Together - we are the force, or I WANT to be a blogger", funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
