On 11 January 2024, an on-site founding event was held. It discussed implementation of the international grant project “Strengthening the Capacity of Communities for Recovery through Piloting Their Interaction with Universities” funded by the International Renaissance Foundation.

The event took place in the Recovery and Development Office of the Sumy Territorial Community. Besides, the Romny and Shostka communities represented the Sumy Oblast in this project.

Annually, the Turkish URAP Agency ranks the best institutions in the world by their publications, citations and international partnerships. For assessment, the Web of Science and InCites data are used.

On 5 January 2024, Sumy State University signed a cooperation agreement with Lintech ICT Academy (Nigeria).

The solemn procedure was held online. The partnership intentions were documented by Vasyl KARPUSHA (rector of Sumy State University) and Dr. Bright-Light Allen (president of Lintech ICT Academy).

On 28 December 2023, foreign BiEM students and those of the Preparatory Section at the Department of International Education visited the university library.

Students from Turkmenistan got acquainted with library possibilities. They acquired reader tickets for further use.

On 21 December 2023, Sumy State University held an Education Quality Board meeting. The main issues concerned organizational and methodological support for implementing educational programs and developing academic mobility.

On 12-13 December 2023, at the invitation of the DCAF Geneva Security Management Center, Mykola NAZAROV reported for the seminar “Balance between Efficiency and Democratic Civilian Control in Defense: Lessons for Ukraine from Finland, South Korea and Taiwan”. The seminar was devoted to the search for successful practices of reforms and post-war recovery in Ukraine.

Isabel Chikoti is a graduate of the Business, Economics and Management SumDU Institute. During her studies, the girl was an active participant in various competitions and projects. Those who know her personally still remember her charming songs.

SumDU became the second Ukrainian institution according to the UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2023. It reached the top 330 world organizations.
