Graduation of foreign SumDU students is a great event for the whole university family. It shows intercultural diversity and worldwide academic achievements.
On 2-3 August 2023 in Lviv, the Ukrainian Catholic University hosted a meeting of the Alliance of Ukrainian Universities. Here, new academic year’s strategy and plans were arranged.
Within the Twinning Initiative, SumDU keeps cooperating with British colleagues. That was launched by the education consulting company «Cormack Consultancy Group» and supported by respective governments.
According to the Webometrics update, SumDU rose to the second ranking place among Ukrainian institutions. The first place is taken by Ihor Sikorskyi Kyiv Polytechnical Institute.
The event took place on 28 July 2023. It attracted international donors, partners, UN coordinators, state and local officials, researchers, public figures and businessmen to recovery and development in the Sumy Region.
Having won the Combat Games in Europe, SumDU judo wrestlers and the Ukrainian national team proceed to Chengdu (China). Here from 28 July till 8 August, the XXXI World Summer University Games will take place.
For the second year, SumDU has been participating in the University Summer School of Liverpool. Here, a twin university is located within the Unity Initiative.
According to the resolution by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), SumDU joined the second stage of the DISCO project (Developing Innovative Sustainable Cooperation Opportunities).
The Akvabend-SumDU Children’s School completed the current shift of the second summer season. The grand closing raised flags to support the Ukrainian Youth National Team. It participates in the XVII European Youth Olympic Festival (Slovenia, 23-29 July 2023).
On 16-19 July 2023, the Hungarian city of Debrecen held the European 3x3 Basketball Tournament among universities. The male category was represented by 24 teams. The Ukrainian national team comprised SumDU students.
