On 25 October 2022, Times Higher Education (as one of the most relevant rating agencies of higher education) represented the most successful universities by knowledge branches.

On October 17-20, the deputy head of International Affairs Department of Sumy State University Tetyana Mayboroda visited Nigeria.

On 10-13 October 2022, a workshop on sustainable development in higher education was held in Tallinn (Estonia) as a part of the Baltic University Program. There, two members of Sumy State University participated.

On 17 October 2022, there were QS results of SumDU assessment. As a rating agency, QS is located in London (the United Kingdom).

On the Erasmus Days, there was a SumDU meeting of 11 research supervisors. Their projects won the 2022 Erasmus+ Jean Monnet contest. The applications could be submitted during the military situation as well.

A new SumDU project is launched with the Japan International Cooperation Agency and ESD Consortium Aichi. The start was announced on 16 October 2022 during the formal meeting.

Currently, Sumy State University leads among Ukrainian institutions and belongs to 401-500 best universities. It has been assessed by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

On the 7 October 2022 webinar, SumDU represented functions of electronic study system for German colleagues.

On 7 October 2022, the Suspilne Sumy channel reported on life of SumDU foreign students after returning from evacuation.

On 4 October 2022, Artem ARTIUKHOV (associate professor of the Marketing Department, leader of the Academic Integrity University Group) represented the project “With Academic Integrity to EU Values: Step by Step to Common Europe” to Ukrainian educators and researchers during the Academic Integrity Forum. It was organized due to the National Agency for Higher Education Quality Assurance and the Unicheck company.
