Sumy State University, Lviv Polytechnic National University, and the International Association for Technological Development and Innovations organized the International Conference "Design, Simulation, Manufacturing: The Innovation Exchange" (DSMIE-2021), held in Lviv on June 8-11.

The rector of Sumy State University Vasyl KARPUSHA commented on the results of the annual QS World University Rankings in an interview for “Ukrainske Radio. Sumy” (Ukrainian Radio). 

According to the results of the QS World University Rankings 2021/22, SumDU has once again entered the ranking group 701-750 in the world and shares 4-5 position with the best HEIs of Ukraine.

On May 27, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine Yagmur Ahmet Guldere visited Sumy State University together with Education Adviser Umit Yildiz and Second Secretary of the Embassy Ayşe Aydoğlu.

On May 26-27, Sumy State University received a visit from a prominent scientist in the field of Materials Science and Nanotechnology, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Institute of Nanomaterials at Drexel University (Philadelphia, USA) Yury Gogotsi.

The students of Sumy State University majoring in Physical Education and Sports won two gold medals for the national team of Ukraine at the European Youth Sambo Championship. The competition was held on May 26-27 in Limassol (Cyprus).

Artem Ovchynnikov, a student of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies of Sumy State University, took third place in the mixed doubles competition of the 1st stage of the European Youth Archery Cup, which took place from 18 to 22 May in Čatež, Slovenia.

More than 140 participants in the Global Virtual Professional Development Program "Excellence in Teaching & Research" for postgraduates and teachers received certificates of completion.

This year in the programme of virtual academic mobility "International Relations and Global Leadership", 35 applicants from 6 vocational colleges and 2 HEIs of the Sumy region at the initiative of the Student Council at the Regional State Administration joined the project on a competitive basis together with the Oleg Balatskyi Department of Management of the Academic and Research Institute of Business, Economics and Management of Sumy State University and Kyiv HEIs.

On May 21st, the Minister for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine Yuliia Laputina visited Sumy State University as a part of her working trip to the Sumy Region. During the visit, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Ministry for Veterans Affairs of Ukraine and Sumy State University by Yuliia Laputina and SumDU Rector Vasyl Karpusha.
