In 2023, SumDU won 13 Jean Monnet Erasmus+ grants. Comparing with the 2020-2022 results (7, 10 and 11 grants, respectively), the 2023 achievement is the highest one among all Ukrainian universities!
Within a business trip to Nigeria on 12 July 2023, Tetiana MAIBORODA (the deputy head of the SumDU International Affairs Department) met with William QURIX (the rector) and lecturers of the Bingham University.
This initiative was announced on 10 July 2023 in Abuja (Nigeria). Here, there was a meeting of SumDU graduates with Ivan KHOLOSTENKO (Ukrainian ambassador in Nigeria), Tetiana MAIBORODA (deputy head of the SumDU International Affairs Department) and Olena NEDRYHAILO (representative of the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Nigeria).
On 11-12 July 2023, the NATO Summit is going to take place in Vilnius (Lithuania). It will concern Ukraine and its cooperation with the Alliance. Ukraine is expecting for decisions on future membership opportunities.
Within the European University Summit on 3-5 July in Warsaw, results of THE Young University Rankings 2023 were represented.
As a Sudanese boy, Hasmallah Huzeifa Adil Eljak’s only knowledge on Ukraine was Andrii Shevchenko and cereal growing. Today, he is a SumDU engineering graduate who reports to an Arabian TV channel.

On 23 June 2023, the Embassy of Ukraine in China held a meeting of Pavlo RIABIKIN and Vasyl KARPUSHA. The former is the Ukrainian ambassador in China, the latter is the SumDU rector.
On 11-17 June 2023, the 11th International Summer School took place at the Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznań, Poland). It was visited by members of 25 Ukrainian institutions. SumDU was represented by Maryna OSIUKHINA (the Media Center head).
